At Sotavento we can help you with reservations and information about transport & transfers to & from the hotel as well as general information on public transport and where to rent vehicles to travel Magaluf and Mallorca.
Whilst Mallorca is relatively small on the map, it measures from north to south 100 kilometers and 70 kilometers from east to west, something to large to walk, but not so large as to stop visiting all corners if you have a means of transport.
PRVIATE TRANSFERS FROM THE AIRPORT TO SOTAVENTO.
We can reserve a private transfer for you from Palma airport direct to Sotavento. This will include a meet and greet at Palma airport by your driver who will escort you to your vehicle and bring you directly to Sotavento. The journey time is around 25 minutes. LINE A11, HOW TO ARRIVE FROM THE AIRPORT BY BUS.
Palma de Mallorca airport is approximately 29 kilometers from our hotel, around half an hour by car and around 1 hour if you come by bus.
The Transport Network of the Balearic Islands (TIB) puts at the service of the users the line A11 or AeroTib (Line bus from the airport to Magaluf direct). It is an inexpensive, convenient and convenient way to reach the hotel.
The price of the single ticket is € 5`50, although if you plan to make more outings during your stay in Mallorca, we recommend you buy a travel pass which will make it cheaper overall. For more information you can follow this link:
OTHER LOCAL BUS LINES.
If you fancy visiting Palma, you have the bus number 106, which will allow you to visit the capital for 6`20 €, round trip. The bus stops in the center Palma in a road called, Plaza de España Intermodal Station, from where you have bus, metro and train links to visit the most hidden place of the island.
Palma de Mallorca or Ciutat (as the inhabitants of the island know it), the capital, is a modern city of 400,000 inhabitants, which has not lost its roots and will surprise you with its wide range of leisure and shopping. When you arrive at the Plaza de España, do not miss visiting Sant Miquel street, the Capuccino cafe where you can taste delicious coffee and all kinds of cocktails, other drinks, as well as sweet and salty cakes typical of the Balearic gastronomy.
To move around the area and reach points such as Peguera, Santa Ponça or El Toro, you can also use line 104 that links Peguera with Palma and line 105 that goes from El Toro to Palma, passing through Palmanova and Magaluf.
RENT A VEHICLE
Mallorca has a wide network of well-marked roads and a motorway that allows you to cross the island from end to end in just over an hour. If you can, we recommend renting a car.
In Magaluf there are several car rental companies, but we recommend TorrenovaRent to Car. They offer a free pick up and return service to their clients at the hotel. For prices please check with our reception during your stay or contact us via email email@example.com
For those who want a little "glamor" when going to tour the island, we recommend Renta Rider Mallorca. This company has an interesting fleet of scooters, Volkswagen beetle and can-am, which will make your tour a fun experience.
